Children in many parts of the world faithfully believe in The Tooth Mouse. When losing a milk tooth, they very religiously put the tooth under their pillow, or in a slipper in front of their beds. The Tooth Mouse will then collect it during the night, while they are fast asleep, leaving money (or sometimes even a small gift) in return for the beautiful, shiny, white tooth!
